The Greenhouse is delighted to announce that Mark Little, presenter of RTE’s Prime Time program, will be speaking at Business Camp Dublin!
Mark has recently announced that he will be starting a new business venture in 2010. We have had discussions with Mark about the current need for a new approach in innovation, technology & entrepreneurship in Ireland and he agrees that there is a need for the services offered by the Greenhouse and for events such as Business Camp. As a show of support he has agreed to make time in his busy schedule to speak at this event.
Mark will be speaking on how a crisis is the best time to start a new business venture.
OK, we have a date for Business Camp Dublin! The event will be held on Saturday December 5th.
Location is the O’Reilly Building on the Trinity College Dublin campus. Starting time is 10 am and talks will end at 5pm.
I will be putting more details online over the next few days but in the meantine you can register here to attend or here to speak.
You can also contact me if you would like to exhibit at the event or if you are interested in supporting this event.
REMEMBER! The event is about sharing information, knowledge & experience in the first place. It is *not* a venue for people or companies who just want to sell themselves or their products/services. Business Camp is about supporting new businesses and creating a better ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship!
Jackie Quinn from Quinn Corporate Finance has agreed to give a workshop on all aspects of corporate finance including business planning, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, sale of business, fundraising, shareholder structures and commercial litigation matters.
The workshop will take place in one of sthe smaller meeting rooms (exact room to be announced) from 11:30 am until 12:30.

It’s just over 4 weeks to go until the day of Business Camp 09 and things are falling into place nicely. We have 30 signups so far with lots of enquires and we that without any major publicity effort.
We have 9 registered speakers with several more to be confirmed over the next week. One of the things we have decided to avoid after our experience in Bizcamp is to have too many speakers. Not only will people be forced to choose between good speakers, it also limits the opportunity to network and that is one of the big attractions of this event.
Talks confirmed so far will cover the following topics:
- Digital Marketing
- Market Intelligence: “know your competitors”
- “Old Skool PR is dead”
- The ins & outs of intellectual property legislation
- Company registration, filings & compliance issues
- “How to profit through innovation”
- Patent applications & trademarks
- The legal implications of cloud computing
- Shareholder agreements, equity, share options etc.
Please remember the event is free of charge! So make sure you register early.
